Dwarka,Gujarat

 Dwarka  is a town and municipality of Devbhumi Dwarka district in the Indian state of Gujarat.

It is located on the western shore of the Okhamandal Peninsula ,at the mouth of the Gulf of Kutch facing the Arabian Sea & right bank of River Gomti.
Dwarka has the Dwarkadhish Temple dedicated to Krishna, which is one of four sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites called the Chardham founded by Adi Shankaracharya at the four corners of the country.
Dwarka is part of the "Krishna pilgrimage " which includes Vrindavan, Mathura, Barsana, Gokul, Govardhan, Kurukshetra and Puri.
Dwarka, is well known as one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and spiritual hub, attracts multiple tourists and devotees annually.
The Government of Gujarat announced the introduction of India's first & unique submarine-based underwater tourism facility in Dwarka, to be operationalised by October 2024.

The Hill Station,Mahabaleshwar,Maharashtra

 Mahabaleshwar , is a small town and a municipal council in Satara district, Maharashtra, India.It is a place of pilgrimage for Hindus because the Krishna River has its origin here.Mahabaleshwar is located on the mountainous Sahyadri range of the Western Ghats.

Legend says that a Yadava ruler from 13th century built a small temple and water tank at the source of the river Krishna.



Mahabaleshwar is a popular tourist destination in Maharashtra. 
Attractions include many hill side look out points with views of surrounding hills, valleys and forests such as Bombay Point, Arthur Seat, Kates Point, Lodwick-Wilson Point, and Elphinston Point.
Wilson Point is the only location in Mahabaleshwar where both the sunrise and sunset can be seen. 
The town also has a man-made lake called Venna Lake. 
The lake is a popular place for boating.
Other attractions include the Lingmala waterfall. 
Old Mahabaleshwar is a place of pilgrimage with its Mahadeo temple. 
The temple is the source of the five rivers Krishna, Koyna, Venna, Savitri and Gayatri.
Being a relatively cool place, many temperate region crops such as strawberries, raspberries, and mulberries have been grown in Mahabaleshwar.
As a popular tourist destination, Mahabaleshwar has hotels and accommodation to suit different budgets.

Rameshwaram,Tamilnadu,India

Rameswaram ,also known as Ramesvaram, Rameshwaram, is a municipality in the Ramanathapuram district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
It is on Pamban Island separated from mainland India by the Pamban channel.
It is in the Gulf of Mannar, at the tip of the Indian peninsula.
Pamban Island, also known as Rameswaram Island, is connected to mainland India by the New Pamban Bridge. 
Rameswaram is the terminus of the railway line from Chennai and Madurai. 
Together with Varanasi, it is considered to be one of the holiest places in India for Hindus and is part of the Char Dham pilgrimage.
According to the Ramayana, Rama is described to have built a bridge from the vicinity of this town across the sea to Lanka to rescue his wife Sita from her abductor Ravana. The temple, dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva, is at the centre of the town and is closely associated with Rama and Shiva. 
The temple and the town are considered a holy pilgrimage site for Shaivas and Vaishnavas.
The history of Rameswaram is centred around the island being a transit point to reach Sri Lanka (Ceylon historically) and the presence of Ramanathaswamy Temple.
Ramsetu Bridge is a chain of limestone shoals, between Rameswaram and Mannar Island, off the northwestern coast of Sri Lanka.
Being a pilgrimage town, the majority of the population is involved in tourism related industry consisting of trade and services.
Pamban Bridge is a cantilever bridge on the Palk Strait that connects Rameswaram to mainland India.
The town is a famous Hindu pilgrimage centre, attracting the visit of thousands of devotees everyday.
Adherents assemble to receive a darshana (auspicious sight) of the temple's image of the deity Shiva, which is regarded to have been installed by Rama according to the regional legend.
The Ramanathaswamy Temple is the most notable historic landmark of the town.
There are sixty-four Tīrthas or Tirthams (holy water bodies) in and around Rameswaram.
Dhanushkodi is the southernmost tip of the island and houses the Kothandaramaswamy ,Temple dedicated to Rama.

Rameswaram is significant for many Hindus as a pilgrimage to Varanasi is considered to be incomplete without a pilgrimage to Rameswaram.

Vijaydurg,Maharashtra

Vijaydurg , the oldest fort on the Sindhudurg coast, was constructed during the regime of Raja Bhoja II of the Shilahar dynasty (construction period 1193-1205) and restructured by Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The name Vijaydurg comes from two words, "Vijay" meaning victory and "Durg" meaning fort.
Vijaydurg Fort was called the "Eastern Gibraltar", as it was virtually impregnable.
Vijaydurg fort is located at the tip of the peninsular region of Vijaydurg in Devgad Taluka, of district Sindhudurg. 
Vijaydurg is said to be the oldest fort in Sindhudurg coast. 
In the Pre-Independence era it was also known as "Eastern Gibraltar". 
This is because the fort was almost unconquerable.

The park has rich forest cover, small streams, hills, valleys and waterfalls, and populations of Bengal tiger, gaur, Indian elephant, Indian leopard, chital and Sambar deer.
Nagarhole National Park, is under consideration by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for selection as a World Heritage Site.
The park ranges the foothills of the Western Ghats spreading down the Brahmagiri hills and south towards Kerala state. 
The park derives its name from naga, meaning snake and hole, referring to streams. The park was an exclusive hunting reserve of the kings of the Wodeyar dynasty, the former rulers of the Kingdom of Mysore.


The vegetation here consists mainly of North Western Ghats moist deciduous forests.

Lake Palace,Udaipur,India

 Lake Palace  or Jag Niwas Palace ,is a former summer palace of the royal dynasty of Mewar, it is now turned into a hotel. 

The Lake Palace is located on the island of Jag Niwas in Lake Pichola, Udaipur, India, and its natural foundation spans 4 acres (16,000 m2).
Popularly described as the Venice of the East, Udaipur hosts the pristine Lake Palace, curated out of white marble.
The exquisite lake palace was extensively used as a summer retreat for the Mewar Royal family.
Currently, IHCL is managing the palace .
This luxurious palace has attained global fame as several super-hit films, including Octopussy, The Fall, etc., have been shot here.
Lake Palace, and Pichola Lake was built by Rana Lakshasimha (Laakha) of ParmarRajputs, in 1362 AD. 
The Lake Palace was rebuilt between 1743 and 1746 under the direction of the Maharana Jagat Singh II (62nd successor to the royal dynasty of Mewar) of Udaipur, Rajasthan as a summer palace. 
It was initially called Jagniwas or Jan Niwas after its founder.

The palace was constructed for facing east, allowing its inhabitants to pray to Surya, the Hindu sun god, at the crack of dawn.
Jagat Singh felt that the City Palace was too public to invite the beautiful young ladies of Udaipur with decadent, moonlit picnics. 
Therefore a palace in the centre of Lake Pichola would offer much more privacy. The successive rulers used this palace as their summer resort.

Marina Beach,Chennai,India

 Marina Beach, or simply the Marina, is a natural urban beach in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, along the Bay of Bengal. The beach runs from near Fort St. George in the north to Foreshore Estate in the south, a distance of 6.0 km ,making it the 2nd longest urban beach in the world, after Cox's Bazar Beach.It is a prominent landmark in Chennai.

The Marina is a primarily sandy beach.  Bathing and swimming at the Marina are legally prohibited because of the dangers, as the undercurrent is very turbulent. It is one of the most crowded beaches in the country and attracts visitors .
Before the 16th century, there were frequent incident of inundation of land near the coast due to rise in sea level. When the sea withdrew, several ridges and lagoons were left behind. Before the Madras harbour was built, the beach was just a strip of mud, teeming with mudskippers. The beach washed up close to the present day road for a long time until the harbour was built in 1881.Since the creation of the promenade in 1884, there were several additions along the stretch. The country's first aquarium was established as one of the first additions in 1909. 
The Marina beach was famed for its pristine beauty, jolly ambiance, and rich ecosystems.
Marina Beach lies on the stretch of coast where olive ridley sea turtles nesting grounds.
The Marina is a natural urban sandy beach along the Coramandel coast on the Bay of Bengal. 
Marina beach is a major tourist attraction of the city. It is also the main place for the local people to escape from the summer heat. The beach is popular for its shops and food stalls . The memorials and statues, morning walk, joggers' track,


aquarium, and the like make it a hangout for people of all ages. Kite flying and beach cricket are common sports at the beach, and there are also facilities for pony rides. The sea is generally rough and waves are strong..There are also joyrides, merry-go-rounds and mini giant wheels along the stretch.
While the beach stretches along the eastern side of the road, the western side is dotted with various governmental institutions and historic and stately buildings from the British rule all along its length. Victory War Memorial, a memorial for the warriors who lost their lives in the World Wars, marks the northern end of the beach.

 Kodaikanal , is a municipality and hill station in Dindigul district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated at an altitude of 2,225 m (7,300 ft) in the Palani hills of the Western Ghats. Kodaikanal was established in 1845 to serve as a refuge from the high temperatures and tropical diseases during the summer in the plains. It is a popular tourist destination and is referred to as the "Princess of Hill stations" with much of the local economy is based on the hospitality industry serving tourism. 

The word Kodaikanal is a combination of two Tamil words: kodai meaning "gift" and kanal meaning "forest" translating to "gift of the forest".
Kodaikanal has several clubs and civil society organizations operating for social, charitable and environmental goals. Established clubs in Kodaikanal include Kodaikanal Boat Club (1890), Kodaikanal Golf Club (1895), Indian Club (1915), Kodaikanal Lions Club (1985) and Rotary Club.

Ooty,Tamilnadu,India

 Ooty ,abbreviated as Udagai,  is a town and municipality in the Nilgiris district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 86 km (53 mi) northwest of Coimbatore, and is the headquarters of Nilgiris district. Situated in the Nilgiri hills, it is known by the epithet "Queen of Hill Stations", and is a popular tourist destination.

Originally occupied by the Toda people, the area came under the rule of the East India Company in the 18th century. It later served as the summer capital of Madras Presidency. The town is connected to the plains by the Nilgiri ghat roads and Nilgiri Mountain Railway.
Ooty is located in the Nilgiri hills, which are part of the Western Ghats in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. It is separated from the neighbouring state of Karnataka by the Moyar river in the north and from the Anaimalai and Palani hills in the south by the Palghat Gap.
